Our Halloween & Rustins 5th birthday...
We had a great Halloween. Jaxson wanted to be something scary this year, Rustin was the "Thing" from fantastic four and Saylor was princess Belle.

Rob was able to snap a few pictures of us. We had my sister in law and a freind go trick-or-treating with us and than some others over for pizza and candy :) at our house after trick or treating.

Saylors 3rd Birthday....
Saylor had her 3rd birthday a couple weeks ago. Its so insane that she is 3 yrs old!!! Its kind of an overload of pictures but I loved so many that my sis-in-law took at her party. Saylor has a cousin/best friend that is 7 days older than her so we usually combine their birthday parties. We invited 4 of their friends and had them dress up like princesses. We took them to the salon to have their toes painted than ate pizza and played at the park.
By the end of the day I think Saylor was struggling to remember her true identity, she had taken over princess Belle's identity. :) Seriously though.

CELEBRATION!!!!
6 months ago we went out and bought tons of these. Saylor was showing ALL the signs of readiness for being potty trained. She has always been super smart. We knew she would be the EASIEST potty trainer in the world. "Girls are so much easier than boys" is what I had heard. Oh boy was I in for a ride...... She was so excited to put on her brand new panties! LOOK at these little "love cakes".
A million PRIZES, a million poop logs being cleaned up off the ground, 10 billion paper towels worth of pee-pee on the floor, a gazillion "Mom, look poo-poo in my panties" (as she is smiling and giggling about it), several google searches on "Help me my daughter wont go potty in the toilet", pee-pee on the floor at stores, power struggles, ect, ect....

Happy 6th Birthday Jaxson!
I cant believe Jaxson turned 6 this week! I can still remember that positive pregnancy test like it was yesterday. I was SO excited to become a Mom. I had wanted to be a Mom my entire life. My nickname growing up was "Mother Hen" because I was always trying to act like everyones Mom. It felt like Christmas everyday being pregnant with Jaxson.
I couldnt be more proud of the boy he is becoming. Tonight at family night (over at Rob's families house), everybody went around in a circle and talked about what was special about Jaxson and why he is so loved. The things that seemed to be in common with what everybody said was...how sweet, thoughtful and kind he is. He has compassion beyond his years. I am proud of the way he treats others and genuinely cares. He is smart, funny and has a wise old spirit :) Jaxson I love you SO much!
We celebrated his birthday at Amazing Jakes with 3 of his friends. This is Rob and Jaxson's friends.

Longest post EVER.......no joke:)
We went on a 10 day trip to Utah to see my brother and sister in law this summer. We had the best time and I dont want to forget about all the fun memmories we made. So........here goes :) Our nephew Adam had a birthday while we were there. He had THE coolest party EVER. Rustin's dreams came true. It was a reptile man that came. He brought all kinds of reptiles of ALL sizes! As you can see by Rustin's face...he is studying the snake. He LOVES reptiles and has never been afraid of them.
Rustin is one happy boy in this picture!
Brother and sister in law Natalie and Ben.
Rob's cousin puts a giant slip and slide in her neighborhood every year on the 4th of July. The kids had a blast...so did Rob.
I love this picture. I dont even know why he was crying....dont worry he wasnt hurt. Just having a Rustin meltdown thats all :)
My sweetie sugarlips.
This is at the dinosaur museum. We try to go every summer when we visit. Rustin was talking about it all year. Saylor had hit her head...poor babeh.
Saylor and cousin Ethan.
These two are best cousins. They are always inseparable when we are in Utah. Saylor doesnt know what to do with herself when we get home because she is so use to having a constant companion.
Had so much fun at a Beezer game. I love watching baseball.
This is a huge sportscourt inside their home. It was awesome. Thekids play down there for hours running around screaming and being crazy.
Saylor and Seth hiding and pretending to be asleep in the bathtub.
This is at the Gateway museum in Salt Lake.

Saylor and some other random girls putting on a play for us :) Check her out, she was making me laugh!
One thing I LOVE about UTah is doing fireworks. The boys LOVED it!
We did the Freedom run on the fourth of July morning. The kids and I did the mile and Rob did the 10k.

San Diego Trip......
This was our trip to California........O.k...im just learning how to use our scan machine, so I kinda messed this up, I am not about to start over. In the very back of the rollercoaster you can see my friend Faith and Jaxson. He is holding on to her for dear life. Right in front of them is Rustin and I...he is bawling his eyes out. I love this picture, Rustin's face is classic :) They did NOT want to go on this roller coaster. I told them if they had the courage to conquer there fear and go on it I would give them 10$ each. This is what they looked like going on the roller coaster. Later....and I mean much later they were glad they did. Hilarious!!!!

My best friend Melody and I ran a half marathon a couple weeks ago-it was the BEST experience. We ran 200 miles to get ready for this race, many of those miles were together. Some good memmories on those long runs, I am laughing right now just thinking about some of the DUMB things that would keep us laughing. Now, in all fairness to myself, at one point in the race Melody and I got lost because noone was guiding us and it was confusing so, my real time was a minute or two faster than what the time says. It was kind of a bummer because my goal was to get under 2 hrs but I had no idea the entire race was hills and trail running. So, I was actually o.k with what I got. My cheetah.......I mean human friend Melody kicked my trash and got ecxactly 2 hrs, I was really happy for her. Those hills about dang near killed me and I am NOT kidding. I thought my lungs were gonna start bleeding and explode lol! It was SOOO hard for me, those hills. We would see a huge hill coming ahead and I wanted to cry.
I was STARVING when the race was over and ate enough for a family of four.
I am so greatful for all the amazing woman in my life. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

LOTS of overdue Easter pictures....
I decided I better get these Easter pictures on here before its Christmas.
We love when Deedra and her cute family come to visit. Her twins are getting so big. They are SO cute! This was at a Easter party at the Rockin R Ranch. We danced and hunted for Easter eggs. Even though it was SUPER rainy, we still had a great time. Aunt Helen helping Gigi hunt for Easter eggs.
Rustin showing me what he got.
Rob and Saylor talking to the Easter bunny.
Best we could get for Easter pictures.
We went to Tuscon on Easter to see Rob's grandma that is in the hospital, and his uncles family lives there. Their backyard is like Disneyland. Its got a huge park, a pool, a trampoline and a huge zipline. Saylor LOVES the zipline. She said she was like Diego making a "rescue".

I love this booty...
Saylor was stuck on a toy outside. When I heard her crying I went to go help her off this toy. Later we were getting ready to get loaded into the car to go to the store and caught a glimpse of this...luckily :) I had no idea her short had been ripped when she got stuck. I was laughing so hard!

Proud parent moment...
CAUTION- BRAGGING ABOUT CHILD for my own journaling purposes...
Jaxon has been counting down the seconds for the last few days to go to Chuckee Cheese. We havent been forever and he LOVES saving up tickets until he has alot and than buying something with them. He even had some he had been saving from last time we went wich was probably 6-8 months ago. He had a blast playing tons of games tonight when we went and had quite a few to turn in. He couldnt hardly get over to the ticket counter fast enough because he had been eyeing something he wanted all night. I walk up behind him at the counter as he is saying "Ill take the diamond bracelet". The lady gives him the bracelet and he turns to look for Saylor, he put it on her wrist and says "here Saylor I got this for you". I was DYING!!!! I was so proud of him, what a SWEETHEART! There were a million cool boy things he could have got for himself and HE chose to do that on his own because he really wanted to. The 7 tickets he had left he gave to Rustin because he had only won 3 tickets wich wasnt enough to get anything and Jaxson felt sad for him.. Jaxson left with nothing. In the car I told him how proud I was of him and he told me that the Holy Ghost gave him a happy feeling in his heart when he did that. For a 5 yr old boy...I am proud! He has such a loving heart.

I love my kids friends and I always want them to remember them. Saylor's 2 best buddies right now are her cousin Gigi and her best friend Kate. Kate is Melody's daughter and she is my best friend. They are 3 weeks apart and they are SO cute when they are together.
This is Rustin and Hailey. Hailey has been a best friend to both of my boys from when they were born. I know they will always be close.

A cutting attack...
I was just gonna trim a few pieces of Saylor's hair but I ended up going on a cutting frenzy. It was so fun snippen away at somebody elses hair and experimenting. She was freaked out by all the hair on the counter. I cut layers in the back and I cut bangs. I think its cute for now hopefully I wont regret cutting those bangs!! She said we were 2 princesses (her and I). When Rob got home she said "see my princess haircut Dad", and started twirling and dancing around the room.

Mourning a very difficult loss....
This little cutie face had a very hard week. I got rid of both the boys "paci's" (pacifier's) when they were one. Saylor was still using hers when she was sleeping. She would wake up with her hair drenched in drool from sucking on it. I knew they had to go but knew it would be SO hard for her. I started talking to her alot about giving all her "paci's" to her baby cousin Santi since he is a baby and needs them and she is a big girl. I gave it time so she would make the decision. Finally one day when she woke up from her nap she said "I want to give my "blinkies" to baby Santi. He would be so happy, since I am a big girl". We wrapped them up in a baggie, put a ribbon on it and we took them to him for a present. She was so excited and proud to give them to him...because he needed them so bad :)

A great Christmas....
My Dad took this picture of my tree...I love it. We had a wonderful christmas. We had so many fun parties and were able to have My Dad and his wife Lori (aka Mom :) ) here to visit. They even stayed the night Christmas Eve to be with us on Christmas morning. They spoied us all rotten with amazing Christmas presents and all of their amazing cooking. It was definately a Christmas to remember.

Grandma Lori doing all the "dirty work" that I dread Christmas morning...opening all the packages with twisties and ties. They act like a barbie is a sawed off shotgun the way that they package it.

Rustin thinks he is now officially the true batman. If I put him on the roof he would definately jump off waiting for his wings to take off, and that is not a joke.

He trades off between iron man and batman everyday.

Saylor now makes me donuts and icecream every day for dinner.

The boys were SOOO excited for Saylor that she got her dream bike!

Grandpa and Grandma helping Jaxson to figure out his Star wars computer.
Family Christmas party at our house.
Friends that we love.
This season I felt the spirit of Christ more than ever. With so many people struggling and all the hardships the world is going through, my heart was often with those struggling. I felt such grattitude for the price that was paid for us by Jesus Christ. I felt so much grattitude for so many blessings in my life. I am thankful for friends and family...I love you.

Soccer is over...
I got to start somewhere after not blogging for 6 weeks. I have so many Christmas pictures to post but Im waiting to get some I dont have yet, so for now I will post about soccer.
Some girls at my church decided to start a soccer team. It was so awesome. It cost 12$ to be on the team. The kids got a shirt, a trophy AND pictures all for that price. You would think it would be a cheesy team lacking in organization for such a small cost but it was the opposite. It was the most well organized team they have been on. The coaches were awesome (they volunteered), my boys learned more and advanced farther in soccer than ever before. The other great thing about it was most of the kids live in the neighborhood so most of the parents are already friends. It was SO fun! I appreciate all the hard work that went into this soccer team. Thet are putting together a t-ball team next...Yeah!
I hope everybody had a Merry Christmas!!!

Brotherly Love....

We had a Family Home Evening today about Faith. We talked about how we can help our faith to grow. We were telling eachother about personal faith building experiences we have had. This is what Jaxson told us.
.... "Something that makes me really know Heavenly Father and Jesus are real is because I remember being in Heaven before I came to earth to live with our family. I remember Heavenly Father telling me that Rustin could come be my little brother on earth because he was my best friend in Heaven. When Rustin came out of your tummy I couldnt stop hugging him because he was finally here. My heart felt like crying because Heavenly Father really meant what he said and I knew he keeps promises. The seed of Faith grew in my heart the most of my life that day".
As Jaxson is finishing saying this Rustin gets off the couch to come give him a hug...with no prompting. (wipe tear :) )
Now, of course Jaxson has heard Rob and I talk about some of these things but he said this all on his own and he was starting to get emotional as he was saying it. I was proud of Jaxson and could really feel that he did have faith and feels very close to Heavenly Father.

Favorite Photographer and family pictures....
I Had a hacker break into my email this week so I went private until I got it all figured out. Anyway....My sister Helen is a very talented photographer. She just finished a series called "Captured Miracles". Each photograph has a story to it and almost all of them can bring you to tears by looking at them. The proceeds will go to various non profit organizations.
This first one is Christ with a troubled teen. Click to enlarge so you can really see it.
This one is of Christ and a homeless single Mother.
Isnt this beautiful
This one is called "Come Follow Me". My 3 kids are in this picture and it is one of my favorites!
If you are interested in purchasing one of these beautiful photographs cick on "Captured Miracles" link on my list. The money goes to non profit organizations for children.
This loving, precious mother son shot was probably taken after I said "Get over here right now and if you dont smile you will have a timeout. Good Job boys :) HA! HA!

Halloween and Rustin's Birthday.....
Halloween was alot of fun. Saylor was a blond Dora because she wouldnt wear a wig and I couldnt find brown hair color, Rustin was Hulk and Jaxson was a ninja guy.

This is what we did this yr. Neither Rob or I likes to miss out on the Trick or Treating so we just made this little set up.

This is our entire trick or treating group except for Rob because he was taking the picture. My sister and brother in law Rusty and Helen came with there 2 kids Gigi and Santi, sister in law Chelsea and friend Justin with his 3 kids (his wife Kayla had a baby 1 week ago so she stayed home). It was the same group as last yr, I think we may have us a little tradition.

Rob got his work out with Saylor on his shoulders for about 2 hours.

Rustin also had his 4th birthday this week! This is him at his party with his friend Hailey.

We had a his party at our house. This is Rob helping Rustin play pin the nose on the pumkin.

I made him a cheesy lookin pumkin cake :) I was still proud of it though because it wasnt easy.

Dey get together and Schnepf farm field trip........
This is how I feel right now. The last few days have exhausted(sp?) me.
He is actually a little boy that was in my group when I went to Schnepf farms on a field trip with Jaxson. Parent volunteers lucked out and only had 2 kids per group. So, it was just Jaxson, Damian and I. Damian is in foster care right now. He was so sweet and so needy of love. He kept hugging me and asking if he could come to my house.
A half hour into the field trip I realized my zipper was down and than about a half hour after that I felt weird and something just didnt feel right. I realized I forgot to wear a bra!!! WHO does that. Obviously I shouldnt get dressed for the day that early....I am not a really together morning person HA!

Happy 2nd Birthday Saylor....
PLEASE TELL ME HOW THIS....... TURNED INTO THIS........

TURNED INTO THIS.....
TURNED INTO THIS......
TURNED INTO THIS!!!!!! ALL IN TWO YEARS?
My beautiful, sweet, independant, very smart, and sassy girl Saylor (aka Bootie-bop/bopper, cutie bootie) turned two on Friday! She wanted a Dora fest. We made it really simple and easy this year wich was kind of nice for a change. I normally love big birthday parties. She seemed just as happy and thats all that matters. Grandpa and Grandma Dey sent her money in her birthday card. Today we went and she picked what she wanted. This is what she came up with: a Dora backpack, Dora book and princess phone. THANK-You Grandpa and Grandma!
Heres to you Grandpa and Grandma!

This is Saylor and one of her best friends Kate. They are 3 weeks apart and have grown up together.
Happy Birthday Saylor. You have given me indescribable joy from the minute you were born. You make me laugh hysterically everyday. Im so excited for our life together as Mother and daughter. You are a very special girl and I love you SOOO much!

Silly, sweet kids.
I went to parent teacher conference today for the first time about Jaxson. I wanted to remember what the teacher said. Ms Jacobsen said he has progressed a crazy amout from the beginning of the yr because he is her hardest worker in the class (yes! :) ) and he doesnt give up, he wants to keep trying until he finishes. He works very slowly and wants to do it right. That is why I have to pray for patience before we begin each homework session because it is hard for me to take THAT LONG :o! She said he is very mature for his age especially for a boy and a very good friend. Also that he is a sweetheart.
I'm proud of him and want to have these things recorded.
We had a last hurah at tempe splash park before it closed for the season.
Saylor hugging her cousin Gigi.
Saylor and her "beloved" baby Santi :) She is a Mamma hen and loves her baby cousin.
Rustin
I LOVE the HOLIDAYS! I just love this time of yr, who doesnt? I am so excited for Halloween and I love to look at all the halloween stuff in the stores. I am a little twisted my friends say because I love to scare little kids. It makes me laugh...I know, sad. I love it when Saylor says "I dont yike it, its scawy." "Im all done Mom". HOW SAD. I try on scary masks and say hi Saylor. Is that just horrible. Here is Rustin and Jaxson being forced by there mother to try on wigs that they are not excited about LOL!
Jaxson. Does he look excited?
This is a black mail shot of Rustin when he gets older. He is hilarious! Getting an oriental trading halloween magazine in the mail is the best thing for Rustin. When I give it to him he tells me thank you like 50 times and tells me how much he loves it. Than, he sits, studies and memmorizes the entire magazine for about 2 hours. Than asks me questions about his favorite things and than re-asks the same question just so he can hear the exciting reply one more time...."Its a sticky silly brain ball Rustin", and I will say that probably 7 times that day even though he already knows the answer. Maybe we have some ocd problems...not sure yet :)

A very special boy....
This is how I remember Josh when I first met him, 4 yrs old, angry and scared to death.. I worked at the Child Crisis Center where kids were taken out of their homes, usually after enduring unspeakable things at the hands of those that were supposed to love and protect them. Than entering a group home full of strangers and no one familiar, you could see why he felt this way. I knew instantly that there was something very special about this kid. That if someone would take him, protect and love him and keep him forever he could heal from his painful past.
I fell so in love with this kid and we had a strong connection and bond. Every night when I would tuck him into bed I would sing him a song called "I am a Child of God" and tickle his back. I SO desperately wanted him to know he was a Child of God, that his worth was huge and that he MATTERED. When I would tickle his back and sing I could truly FEEL how loved he was from Heavenly Father.
He lived at the home for over a year when one day a lady came and said she was interested in fostering him. WHAT! Who was this stranger coming to take MY Josh. I thought about adopting him but knew it wasnt the right time. I decided to become his "Special Friend". Special friend is a program kind of like Big brother or sister. I wanted to be able to follow him around and make sure he was safe and happy wherever he was. I will never forget the day this lady came to take him. HE DIDNT EVEN KNOW HER. He was crying and scratching my back as I had to force him in this ladies car. I promised him I would come see him SOON. I was devastated. Luckily this lady let me see him whenever I wanted. I picked him up every weekend and he would stay with me at my house. This foster home was NOT my ideal place for Josh and I really didnt like some of the ways they treated him. This went on for about a year before a MIRACLE happened. An AMAZING family was interested in possibly adopting Josh. I was nervous but excited. It turned out to be exactly where he was meant to be. They even researched and found his siblings and adopted them too. One night his new family was singing "I am a CHild of God" and wondered how in the heck he knew that song. His Mom Corey called me and asked if I knew how he knew that song. I told her about those nights when I would sing it to him. Im sure we shared a few tears and we both felt so greatful that he was finally gonna be safe and loved. They have given him a wonderful life and have always included my family in Josh's life.
He is a strong boy with a sweet spirit.
This is him sleeping on my couch when I was single.
This is him and his beautiful sister Charity on the day they were sealed to their family in the L.D.S temple. There were many tears!

His 12th birthday was this week and his family invited us over to celebrate. Look how BIG he has gotten. He is getting all a+'s right now in school. What an example he is. I am so greatful to his family and all the love they have for him. I love him like he were my own. Life gets busy and I dont see him as often sometimes as I would like but that doesnt change how much he means to me and how much I love him. HAPPY 12th BIRTHDAY JOSH!!!!!!!

Fun week...
My brother in law Randy got married this week. He married Cammie. She is perfect for him and she is such an awesome girl. Isnt her dress beautiful!
Family came into town and we had fun all week. This is Randy, Me and Cammie.
Jaxson and his cousin Seth at the Rockin R Ranch

Saylor, Seth and Gigi . They are super close in age, they are adoreable playing together.

They thought the fountain at the ranch made a good swimming pool so Papa stripped them down to diapers when none of the parents were looking and let them swim.

After the wedding we "tried" to have pictures taken. Saylor's molers are coming in and she was ticked about pictures. Poor Jaxson...his job was to hold her and force her to take pictures. He doesnt like her being unhappy, he told me it was mean to make her sad. It was a real moral dilemma for him to do this :)

I walked up and found Rustin getting rocks out of Saylor's shoes...how sweet.

Chicken fights with cousins Ethan and Adam, Uncle Ben, Papa and Rob.

Jaxson and Gabe
Their is a new ride at Amazing Jakes that the kids were excited about. They were a little nervous, it goes pretty fast.
He thought he had died and gone to Pokemon heaven. That is Jaxson's obsession right now. He got everything Pokemon.
This is the cake he picked. I think he had a great Birthday......one down 2 to go :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAXSON........
This is my sweet birthday boy right out of the shower. Im sure many of you know what I am talking about when I say that there was "magic" with my first born from the day we found out I was pregnant. It was one of the best days of my life. I think we will always have a "magic" connection, Jaxson and I. It was not the easiest process getting him here. I went into labor at 24 weeks, was in the hospital on magnesium for a week. Than in bed for the next 3 months giving myself a shot once a day and constantly monitoring my contractions. When he came 3 and a half weeks early.......It was "magic". Thats the only way I know how to describe it. It felt like Christmas everyday. Checking constantly in his bed to see if my gift really was....there...and mine. Jaxson is the typical oldest in the family personality. He is protective, caring, tenderhearted, responsible (for a 5 yr old :) ). He is madly in love with his babysister, he gives her whatever she wants when she wants it, and protective of his younger brother. He is very outgoing and makes friends everywhere he goes. His classmates tell me he is "silly" everytime I pick him up from school. I will love, worry about, pray for with all of my heart until my last breath, this precious gift that Heavenly Father trusted me with. Happy 5th Birthday Jaxson!
I covered the kitchen table with balloons, put the "you are special" plate in his spot. We had Krispy Kreme donuts (Jaxsons favorite) for breakfast and than took them to all his classmates at school. He wore his "Birthday Boy" ribbon. Rustin came along, he wanted to see Jaxson's "big" school sooo bad. The rest of the birthday festivities will be this weekend.
We love you Jaxson!!!! Happy Birthday!

Some of my favorite things in the world....
This face.....with her sweet baby cousin Santi. She talks about him everyday.

Rustin loving his baby cousin Santi......
My kids having fun at one of their best friends birthday parties......

Saylor's silly faces.....and chubby thighs.

Walking in to see my kids reading books all by themselves, by their own initiation.....
This last one truly is my favorite thing in the world right now....... In the middle of the night I go check on Saylor to make sure she isnt cold and to just look at her sleep. She is in a deep, heavy sleep. I tuck her in, walk to the door and just when I am about to shut the door behind me, I hear...."I Yove You". My favorite thing.

Overwhelmed....
Here is some of what we have been up to...little long I know, if you are bored skip ahead :) This was the lake trip with the young woman and men in our church. I miss water sports so bad. Its been like 8 yrs since I have been on a boat, it used to be one of my favorite things. We had a BLAST.
Look at these faces! Our boat driver KILLED us!
I looked like a dork skiing so Im not putting any of those pics up but I wasnt to shabby for 8 yrs. It was so fun. I LOVE to water skii, wakeboard ect....
I always need to record some of the things Rustin wears. It makes me laugh so hard. This is when I woke him up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. I had him pose for a picture, so sad :) A babysitter put him to bed so I hadnt seen his ensemble yet.
My brother came in town. We had so much fun. He helped me get my kids school supplies and we went out to dinner. My sister, Myles and I hung out for awhile, that was fun. (notice Rustin's goggles!!!!). He is so serious about it, if you laugh he gets really frustrated and says "its not silly". Saylor loves Myles and still is carrying around the "my little pony" he got her while he was here.
Saylor says "I do it" a hundred times a day. She squirms out of her stroller and insists on pushing it as she is saying "I do it". When I am changing her diaper she throws her legs into the middle splits, grabs a wipe and starts whiping herself as she is saying repeatedly "I do it". She wants to do EVERYTHING by herself. If she is trying to dress herself and we even sneak a tug or a pull in to help, shirt is coming all the way off as she starts a tantrum screaming "I do it". I actually love this about her. She is an independant woman....love it.

Rustin had his first day of preschool. He was a little nervous but loves it. I am usually against clothes with characters on them, its just not my style but I found this vintage one at gap and knew he would LOVE it. He couldnt wait to wear it. I had to convince him to take off the cape though.

Jaxson had his first day of half day kindergarten. He loves it. Crazy face is all he was gonna give me.

We had a family get together at our house with my Dads side of the family. Our kids LOVE Uncle Scott. He spends so much time playing with them. Him and Jaxson just sit and talk wich is something Jaxson loves to do, just sit and chit chat about life.

Baby Santi....
I get choked up when somebody tells me they are pregnant. Anything that associates with the miracle of a baby usually gets me choked up, so when my sister-in-law Helen asked if I wanted to be with her when she delivered her baby naturally at her house in a birthing tub (yes, you heard that right :) ), I jumped at the chance to be there. I had never seen anything like it so I was excited to see something different. She was amazing and there wasnt a dry eye in the room when baby Santi came. I was so happy for her that everything went exactly as she had imagined. It was ridiculous how beautiful she looked while delivering...ridiculous. I look like a gigantic swollen amazon lady when I deliver....not fair :) Welcome baby Santi.
Baby Santi
My kids could NOT wait to meet him!

Saylor and Santi
Whenever he cries, she nervously starts kissing him over and over.
Jaxson is SO gentle and loving with babies. He loves Santi so much.
If you notice no pictures of Santi with Rustin its because he greeted him and moved on. He is loving also but there were toys that needed playing with and other things to do....baby shmamy.
Rob took a few pictures of the boys and I, I have hardly any. This is what Jaxson usually does when I try to kiss him...ALREADY!!! I am not ready for this. I am still stronger though, this does NOT stop me :)

This is Jaxson and Ethan. Ethan lost his Mom and his sister in a car accident last year. He melts my heart and if I could keep him forever, I would. He is the sweetest most awesome boy and we LOVE having him around. His family has been through more than I wish any family ever had to go through. I am so grateful that we get to have a part in this special boy's life.

Happy Birthday Melody.....
Happy 30th Birthday to my best friend Melody! Are you kidding, did I just say that right.... that we are 30? Wasnt it just yesterday that it was the first day of our sophmore year and you had to go change your clothes because your armpits were drenched with sweat from being SO nervous? HA HA LOL! 30th birthday calls for a little embarrasment :) Wasnt it just yesterday that Ieska wanted to fight you at Arby's (in highschool) because she thought you had thrown a gang sign or something. We spent our lunch hour planning the attack. You had HAD it with her GANGSTA ways of trying to intimidate you, we planned for you to say " I really dont want to fight you but if I need to I will. if you cross this line its ON and I cant promise what will happen to you after that!" HA!HA! I could go on and on.We blink and we are mothers and wives at 30...WHAT :) We have had SO many good times, I laugh just thinking about it. Melody is definately WAY more like a sister than a friend.
Our friendship all started here..at good ole' Taylor junior high. I know some other fellow bloggers that will get a kick out of some of these pictures.
I only dropped her a few times right on her head (Mesa high assembly in front of everybody lol), good thing she is forgiving!
Next it was Mesa High.
Euphoria dance company.
"Wind beneath mey wings". Wich is what you've been a million times in my life!
"Anything for love" HA! HA! We spent the entire summer making up this dance. We made your Mom watch us every step of the creation LOL. At dress rehearsal when we would perform this dance somebody said it looked like a lesbian dance, and started spreading the rumor. I was a little sensitive seeing as how in junior high the SAME rumor was spread about me when someone said they saw me and another fellow blogger (you know who you are) kiss LOL! I did NOT want to do the dance and Melody didnt give a crap what anyone thought, she said "Kenyon, that is so stupid that you dont want to do it. Who gives a crap what they say...we are doing it!" So, we did the "lesbian" dance in front of most of our school. ( I am laughing so hard right now)
LOOK at all of this OUT OF CONTROL HAIR!!! What were we thinking?
I love your Mom and she has been their for me SOOO many times when I needed her.
This is me, Mike (Melody's brother), and Melody at Disneyland.
My wedding.
Melody is really fun and REALLY funny. I dont laugh as much with anybody. We can laugh at the dumbest things for like 2 hours and Im serious.
Spider venom Melody

Our kids have been friends since birth. Hailey, Rustin and Jaxson.

Hailey and Jaxson. Who knows what the future will hold with the 2 of them :)

Saylor and Kate. They are 3 weeks apart.

Jaxson and Hailey
She accomplishes whatever she puts her mind to. Melody is SO talented, I dont think there is anything she couldnt do.
Maybe we still have it Melody.
Or....Im not sure! HA! Click to enlarge at your own risk :)
Melody is...fun, hilarious, very sassy, tender hearted, courageous, ambitious, kind, thoughtful and compassionate. I love having a friend that I can listen to booty rap music with. She sends me a nice note or email at JUST the right time, when I needed a boost. She is a VERY loving and fun Mom. When she comes over to let the kids play she will often start doing my laundry because she can tell by the looks of things I need some help HA! Her heart genuinly hurts if I am sad.
When I read a quote on my friend Shelly's blog, it reminds me of Melody. It says " Just be yourself, everyone else is taken". That is Melody...always herself.

Our 6 day trip to Oregon....
June has been crazy. We have been out of town 18 days in june and the rest of the month was getting ready for the trips. We went to Oregon where my Dad lives for a family reunion. It was probably our families BEST vacation we have ever had. Oregon is SO beautiful! This is a long post so skip ahead if you are bored. We went on this Jet boat excursion on the Rogue river. It was SO fun. The boat drives a little over an hour to this huge, beautiful lodge, you eat a 5 course meal and than the boat takes you back. We saw SO much wild life. The boat would go FAST and than do a 360, we were soaken' wet. Everyone thought Saylor would freak out because the water is FREEZING cold. She had her hands in the air, laughing and screaming...she loved it.
This is rob, me, Myles(my brother) and my uncle Scott eating at the lodge.
We did SO much hiking. We went on a 4 mile hike with the boys. MOST of it was up steep hills. The boys were tired at the end but Grandma Lori promised them if they finished, they would go to the gift shop and pick out a toy....they got a second wind:) This is Rustin with his "hiking stick".

It was SO beautiful. I think the most beautiful place Ive seen. I had so much fun catching up with family that I hadnt seen in a LONG time.

We found snow on our hike and stopped for a little snow fight. The boys were in Heaven and they roughed all of us up with there snow balls. They asked Grandma Lori to make them all (conveniant) because she made them better.

This is Saylor and uncle Myles on a hike. At one point she was sleeping like this.

This pose was making me sick to my stomach but I guess it was worth it because its so cute :)

My cousin Crystal who I hadnt seen in SOOO long was so awesome. She played with and helped take care of Saylor the ENTIRE time. Saylor loved her.

Saylor with uncle Myles. Saylor LOVES him. They really do have a special bond.

The Oregon coast is awesome. The beach is amazing, so pretty.

Kevin (cousin), Rustin and Jaxson
LOVE THIS!!!

I think Saylor is made for the beach. She is fearless. Nobody wanted to get in the water, it was FREEZING and I mean ICE cold. She was swimming in it. We couldnt keep her out of it. Everybody was very amused by her. She was so easygoing the whole trip. She had so much fun everywhere we went.

Our family WONT forget this trip. Oregon was beautiful and awesome but it was even better just hanging out with eachother. We enjoyed eachothers company so much. Thank-you Grandpa and Grandma Dey!

Roadtrip to Utah for 8 days....
My sister in law Helen and I just got back from a 8 day trip to Utah. Helen's family lives there so she stayed with them and my other sister in law Natalie lives in Utah, so I stayed with her. We drove there and back with 4 kids 4 and under, so it was a little crazy but I was proud of them, they did pretty good. This is not a very good picture but the ONLY one I got of us.
We ate lots of fast food...yummy :)
A little fighting and a few tantrums but we survived. We have never taken a trip that long and the kids have never been away from Dad for that long. They missed him like crazy, especially Rustin.
Saylor and her cousin Gigi
They made such wonderful memmories with there cousins. Natalie has 4 great kids and one on the way. This is Seth, Avi and Saylor.
Avi, Rustin, Ethan (hidden), Jaxson and Adam.
Adam and Saylor.

Adam and Jaxson
One of the sad parts about leaving, is leaving Seth (cousin). These 2 played so sweetly together and had so much fun together.

Seth and Saylor being so funny on the trampoline.

We got to be there to celebrate Ethan's 9th birthday.
This is Natalie and Saylor.
Saylor and Ethan.
Saylor and Seth.

Ethan, Adam and Jaxson.

We did so many fun things. We went to museums and this fun place called "Jump on it".

These 2 are buddies.

The last day I was there we got a babysitter and went to "Parade of homes". I LOVED it. I found some really beautiful things. This picture is a girls bedroom that I fell so in love with.

Jaxson LOVED being with his BIG cousins. I think I can see stars in his eyes when he plays with them. I would hear him telling them things like, "I can do a back flip on my bike". We would talk later and I would ask him about it. He would say, "I did it when you and Dad werent looking". I said, " Jaxson Heavenly Father can hear and see you ALL the time". He said, "Oh Yeah, I forgot!" Than he would say something like it again, "I do jumps all the time on my skateboard". I asked him about it again, and he said, "Oh man, I want to tell the truth but my head just keeps knockin me around, I really try so hard and it just keeps knockin me around".
